Pack Burro Racing

Pack burro racing is Colorado's Summer Heritage Sport, a living legacy and celebration of the role of burros in the state's pioneer development. These foot races of teams of racers and their burros traverse challenging courses, some up to 30 miles and 13,000 feet.
